Commissioned photography does not need to look corporate.
It is about understanding the brief, recognising what matters within a subject and making creative decisions that give the work meaning. With over 20 years’ experience, Green brings that judgement to commissioned photography, working with clients to develop imagery rather than simply execute a shoot list.
His experience covers a wide range of commercial environments, from interiors, food and hospitality to corporate, studio and location work. He has worked with brands, institutions and organisations including Knoll International, The Bank of Japan, Sony, Soho House, USM, Schroders, Philips, The Museum of London, Random House and The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
His experience also extends beyond taking photographs, having managed a professional photographic lab and worked extensively on set and in the studio, giving him a practical understanding of both production and the creative process.
His approach is deliberately documentary, observing environments rather than imposing a predetermined corporate style.
He works with clients who understand the value of that photographic judgement and want someone to interpret a brief, ask the right questions and find the visual solution, rather than simply illustrate it. The result is photography with a clear point of view and created to serve the client's objectives.
